15 l/h at 15 knots means many things: ecology, comfort, silence, safety
AS CAT 36 is a motor catamaran designed for day cruising, offering large outdoor living spaces and essential but functional internal comfort.
Thanks to its characteristics, it is a boat suitable for family use, perfect for day trips or weekends, but also suitable for tourist use as a private charter. In fact, compared to a monohull of the same size, this boat is equipped with greater comfort both in navigation and at mooring, with an almost non-existent roll which, consequently, does not require the use of expensive and heavy gyroscopic stabilizers that contribute to increasing weight, consumption and maintenance costs.
At the same time, the asymmetric hulls have been designed to have a reduced wetted surface which, at the same speed, guarantees lower consumption; in fact, just 15 l/h are enough for both engines at a cruising speed of 15. And even when increasing the speed, consumption remains low compared to other monohull boats of similar dimensions.
And for lovers of extreme speed, AS CAT 36, in the Foiled version, can transform into a real racing boat; in fact, by adopting slightly more powerful engines and mounting a fixed Foil currently being patented by the Alyena shipyard, the hull allows you to reach speeds of over 40 knots and very low consumption, thanks to the semi-lifting of the bow with respect to the sea and the waves, obviously always remaining within the maximum levels of safety that only a catamaran can offer.
The beam of just over 4.00 meters also provides a very large cockpit, equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable crossing, without the need to foresee heavy and problematic hydraulic systems for opening the sides.
The stern area features a sunbathing area with seats and a fold-down table, a kitchen area equipped
of sink, refrigerator and storage spaces. At the bow of this is the wheelhouse equipped with two ergonomic seats and a driving console equipped with instruments. The wheelhouse is protected from the sun and wind thanks to a windshield and a carbon hardtop. At the bow there is access to an additional sundeck and the anchor maneuvering area.
Two hatches on the sides of the driving console lead to the cabin and bathroom, equipped with a sink and toilet. The cabin is equipped with a wardrobe, double bed and storage space. The large side windows and two deck hatches ensure lighting and air exchange in the rooms.
The equipment of the AS CAT 36 can be enriched with further internal and external fittings and system upgrades, to meet the particular needs of its owner.
For example, it is already natively set up to house a Garmin Force Kraken electric motor at the bow, thus allowing you to enter and exit areas where navigation is prohibited to combustion-powered vehicles.
