Alyena uses the innovative Infusion process
Are you familiar with the infusion process? You may have heard of it, but how does it actually work?
We explain it to you and show it to you with some videos! Infusion is a composite lamination process (fiberglass, carbon, etc.) among the most innovative in the world and which, compared to traditional manual lamination, offers undoubted advantages.
With the traditional process, the fiber mats are manually wetted with resin, with the following negative results, including greater waste of resin (which weighs and makes the structural resistance less efficient) and the inevitable presence of both visible and invisible imperfections (air bubbles, unwetted fibers and poor compactness of the composite.
With the infusion process, the skins that make up the laminate and the cores are compacted through the application of the vacuum-packed, which through the use of modern technologies and special materials, allows the creation of a closed circuit system that works in depression. This technique, by sucking the air present between the various fabrics/cores, in addition to making the whole extremely compact, subsequently allows, by exploiting the depression generated, to infuse the fabrics by sucking the resin necessary to wet them.
The resin is injected through pipes using a complex circuit, which allows it to pass through the entire area, taking advantage of the large depression generated, and in doing so, to wet the previously arranged fabrics, managing to penetrate every small cavity.
The advantages are a weight saving, due to the compactness of the composite, an optimal quantity of resin and a reduction of the interlaminar spaces.
The result is a uniform laminate, free from air bubbles, with the right amount of resin and extensively compacted thanks to the great pressure exerted on every square cm thanks to the vacuum itself.
The weight saving is about 30% compared to traditional lamination, which translates into greater performance and lower consumption.
Here are the videos, genuine, without editing or sound disturbances, because it is also interesting to "listen" as well as see.... only from Alyena!
